Business Intelligence Developer III

The Business Intelligence Developer III is responsible for leading the design, the development, and the maintenance of BI solutions that help the organization make data-driven decisions. This role requires strong analytical skills, strong proficiency in BI tools, and the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions as well as to lead projects involving cross functional, teams.

Essential Job Statements

Lead the design, development and maintenance of BI and analytics solutions that transform data into insights through interactive reports, dashboards and self-service reporting capabilities.

Performs complex analysis including reviewing multiple data sets and data relationships to support research and business decisions .

Work s in concert with other data practitioners and business teams to understand business requirements and translating those requirements into developing value-add BI/Analytics solutions.

Develop s and enforce implementation of standards and best practices involved in BI solutions development and delivery.

Leads data related projects involving cross functional teams .

Support s the data through its life cycle utilizing DataOps practices and data governance principles that ensure data quality, integrity, stewardship, security, literacy and adoption.

Works with Data Engineering /Architecture team s by identifying opportunities to expand data sets and business intelligence tools to include additional data . Assists with data lineage and coding to support this function.

Provide s Technical Support and training to end users on BI tools and reports .

Mentor s junior Data Business Intelligence Developers .

Conduct s research and make s recommendations on products, tools, services, protocols and standards in support of Business Intelligence Development and data strategy .

Required Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business , IT, Math, Data Analytics, Engineering, or related discipline

Preferred Education: Master’s degree in Business , IT, Math, Data Analytics, Engineering or related discipline

Minimum Qualifications

Years and Type of Required Experience: 8 + years business intelligence , analytical, reporting experience . 7 + years of experience with Data Lake, EDW and operational databases required . 5 + years SQL experience .

Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: Expert level knowledge of business intelligence tools and methodologies (Tableau, Qlikview , PowerBI , etc.) . Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities to develop and to optimize BI solutions . Strong SQL skills . Understanding data warehousing concepts and practices for managing large datasets. Experience working with Cloud technologies such as AWS/Azure/GCP . Experience with programming languages like Python or R. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work cross-functionally (Required proficiency). Ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical personas and make complex ideas understood. Organizationally savvy, with a good understanding of the enterprise's political climate and how to navigate, influence and persuade political waters. Ability to understand the long-term ("big picture") and short-term perspectives of situations. Ability to comprehend quickly the functions and capabilities of new technologies .

Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred: Exp ert knowledge of data governance practices and data life cycle management preferred. Experience working with Healthcare data . Experience utilizing Agile methodology . Displays intellectual curiosity and integrity.

Compensation Range

$91,395.20 - $141,648.00 Actual salary offers will be based on several key factors to include relevant work experience, credentials, and qualifications.
