About the opportunity

Lead the vision, design and delivery of the University’s Workforce Management transformation, shaping an integrated target operating model that strengthens workforce planning, compliance, operational effectiveness and staff experience while ensuring alignment across business processes, governance, data, technology and enterprise-wide strategic outcomes.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • lead the workforce management product vision, target state roadmap and governance framework, ensuring alignment with university priorities, strategic objectives and long-term workforce transformation outcomes
  • own the end-to-end design of workforce management capabilities across workforce planning, academic workload allocation, scheduling, time and attendance, compliance and workforce insights, maintaining alignment across business, data and technology requirements
  • design and evolve the target operating model, establishing effective governance, decision-making frameworks, business processes, controls and service delivery arrangements that support sustainable organisational change
  • provide leadership across workforce management design activities, partnering with hr, academic, digital and ict stakeholders to ensure consistent, integrated and high-quality outcomes across all workstreams
  • drive alignment between workforce management and adjacent enterprise capabilities including payroll, hcm, timetabling, curriculum, finance, compliance and strategic workforce planning, managing dependencies and cross-program impacts
  • support procurement, solution evaluation, implementation and benefits realisation activities, ensuring design integrity is maintained throughout delivery and that outcomes remain aligned to business objectives, workforce visibility, operational effectiveness and staff experience

About you

  • postgraduate qualifications in a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience, with a strong foundation in workforce, hr or business transformation environments
  • demonstrated experience leading business product, operating model, business architecture or enterprise transformation initiatives, translating strategic objectives into practical and sustainable business outcomes
  • strong workforce management and hr domain knowledge, including workforce planning, workload allocation, scheduling, time and attendance, compliance, workforce reporting and organisational design
  • proven ability to lead stakeholder co-design and influence senior leaders across complex organisations, balancing enterprise-wide consistency with local operational requirements
  • experience working across business, architecture, data, technology, change and delivery teams to develop integrated solutions and align business objectives with technology-enabled transformation
  • strong leadership, governance and delivery capability, including oversight of multidisciplinary teams, design assurance, procurement and solution evaluation, cross-program alignment and benefits realisation activities throughout the transformation lifecycle
