Summary:

During the Cardiac and Vascular Interventional Suites (CVIS) procedure, provides highly technical Hemodynamic pressure and EKG monitoring as well as scrubbing procedures to the pediatric/congenital and/or adult patients in the Cath Lab.

* Experience and ability to work in Cath, EP, and IR a plus and highly preferred!

Responsibilities:

Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care based on patient assessment to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources. Monitors, documents, and communicates patient condition as appropriate.Effectively delegates patient care to ancillary personnel. May precept student nurses and new hires.Evaluates learning needs of the patient and, or family and provides patient and family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including disposition, referral, and spiritual and, or psychosocial support needs.

Additional Job Information:

Complexity of Work: Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Must be able to handle an emergency crisis and unpredictable situations. Must take call and work irregular hours as needed.
