Caregiver Responsibilities

Caregivers at Charis Hearts provide non-medical in-home and/or community care based on the Client Service Plan . Responsibilities may include:

• •Client Support & Care
• Perform client wellness checks to ensure their well-being.
• •Assist clients with completing admission documents as needed.
• •Help train other caregivers on Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) in the client's home.
• •Provide non-medical support to agency service recipients.

• •Compliance & Documentation
• Be familiar with and follow all rules, policies, and procedures related to service delivery.
• •Submit all required documentation accurately and on time.
• •Adhere to the individual service plan for each recipient.
• •Maintain strict confidentiality of all client records and information unless authorized by written consent.

• •Safety & Reporting
• Immediately report any incidents of injury involving the service recipient or yourself to your supervisor.
• •Report any suspected abuse or neglect to the appropriate authorities and your supervisor.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, applicants must meet the following qualifications:

• •Must be at least 18 years old.
• •Must have valid State ID/ Drivers License.
• •Strong communication skills – both oral and written.
• •Reliable transportation to and from client locations.
• •Compassionate and caring nature with a genuine desire to help others.
• •Honesty and integrity in all interactions.
• •Willingness to attend training sessions provided by referring agencies and/or the Tennessee Department of Mental Health & Developmental Disabilities (MHDD).
