Caregiver / Nanny – West Seneca, NY

A loving family in West Seneca, NY 14334 is seeking an experienced, highly attentive nanny or pediatric caregiver to provide specialized care for their infant daughter, who was born with a congenital heart defect (Tetralogy of Fallot / DiGeorge syndrome). The family is preparing for her upcoming discharge from the hospital and looking to establish dedicated care as the mother transitions back to work.

Schedule & Start Date:

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM (approx. 47.5 hours/week)

Start Date: TBD within the next few weeks (dependent on hospital discharge date)

Responsibilities:

Provide specialized infant care, including diapering, soothing, and general daily support

Administer required medications accurately and on schedule

Manage feeding tube usage and upkeep

Maintain a clean, calm, and safe environment tailored to medical needs

Requirements & Qualifications:

Must be licensed, certified, or clinically trained to administer medications and utilize feeding tubes

Current CDPAP (Consumer Directed Personal Assistance Program) registration, or active willingness to sign up through CDPAP

Prior experience in pediatric care, infant care, or supporting medically complex infants

Strong reliability, communication skills, and attention to detail

CPR and First Aid certifications strongly preferred

Compensation:

Rate: $26.00-$28.00 per hour

Note: The family plans to utilize CDPAP for long-term coverage, but will pay out of pocket at this rate in the interim if discharge occurs prior to CDPAP approval.
