Cashier – Italian Restaurant - Part Time

Description

It is the responsibility of the Fountain Worker to provide prompt, efficient and courteous service while displaying salesmanship and friendly hospitality skills.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

• •Take and place order(s) and serve and garnish food and drinks efficiently and accurately in work area as applicable.
• •Collect money, while following all proper cash handling and comp procedures.
• •Maintain the cleanliness, sanitation, and the appearance of the front and back of house, clear tables and counters; sweep and maintain the cleanliness of the dining area without interfering with the comfort of guests.
• •Pack and complete order as per guests' preference with any necessary condiments.
• •Properly label and date products per safety and sanitation procedures.
• •Perform opening and closing duties based upon shift assignment.
• •Unload warehouse orders and stock the orders to designated storage maintaining organization, stock and replenish products as needed in workstation, counters, tables, etc.
• •Resolve guest complaints within scope of authority; otherwise, refer the matter to management, notify supervisor and/or Security of all unusual events, circumstances, missing items, or alleged theft.
• •Perform other job-related duties as requested.

Education

High School Diploma or GED - Required

Additional Requirements

• •Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays. Required
• •1+ year experience as a food handler in a similar, high-volume, fast paced restaurant. Preferred
• •1+ year guest service experience. Preferred
• •Experience working in a similar setting. Preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• •Knowledge of menu items, including mixing and serving beverages, standard beverage recipes, preparation methods, glassware, garnishes, products, menu items, supplies and equipment
• •Knowledge of standard kitchen equipment, including, but not limited to toasters, refrigerators and coolers, slicers and beverage machines
• •Knowledge of health, safety and sanitation regulations
• •Basic computer skills and experience with varied Point of Sale (POS) systems
• •Ability to handle multiple types of information and/or perform multiple tasks
• •Excellent customer service skills as well as interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts
