Center Store Clerk - Harvester

Job Description

This is not an official job description, but represents major responsibilities a new hire can expect to perform: You could expect the position of center store clerk to include the following:

DUTIES:

• •Provide friendly and courteous service to customers
• •Regular, reliable attendance is an essential function of the job.
• •Stock, straighten and rotate product on shelves in Dairy, Frozen, Non-Foods., and Grocery Departments.
• •Process incoming product from our warehouse and direct store delivery vendors
• •Read and understand shelf tags
• •Sort damaged product for credit
• •Operate a hand jack, power lift and cardboard baler
• •Follow company safety guidelines when using cutters, power lifts, and baler
• •Maintain cleanliness of shelves, displays, backroom, refrigerated cases, cooler and freezer
• •Maintain company productivity standards
• •Other duties may be assigned at the discretion of store management

TRAINING

Training will be provided at store level.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Bending
• Stooping
• Able to stock 50 cases per hour
• Able to work in a cold environment (-10 to 40 degrees)
• Able to push loaded two wheeler (average 100-120 pounds)
• Able to pull a loaded pallet (up to 700 pounds)
• Able to pull loaded stock truck
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Working on feet entire shift (4-8hours)

Additional Requirements – Internal Candidates:

• •Store/Facility Teammates: minimum of six months employment with Schnucks preferred.
• •Store Support Center Teammates: minimum of one year employment with Schnucks preferred.
• •Must be in good standing (not on a performance improvement plan or active discipline).
• •If invited for an interview, must have manager approval based on performance.
