Central Pharmacy Engineering Associate - Physical Plant

Summary

The pharmacy Engineering Associate role will ensure all physical plant and property assets are managed and maintained in line with the vision of Baptist Health and requirements of regulatory agencies. This position will be responsible for the maintenance of the infrastructure and equipment of buildings and facilities. The Engineering Associate will support the Pharmacy Equipment Engineer in maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing pharmacy equipment across Central Pharmacy. This position is responsible for assisting with preventative maintenance activities, routing equipment inspections, troubleshooting equipment issues, and coordinating resolution for equipment that impact Central Pharmacy operations. Job Description:

Baptist Health is looking for an Engineering Associate for our Central Pharmacy plant to join our team at 1051 New Moody Lane, LaGrange, KY!

• •Performs a variety of general maintenance tasks including performing preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance on a variety of equipment according to established procedures.
• •Uses lean practices to drive increased usage of the automation systems in streamlining the workflows across various use scenarios.
• •Able to identify and resolve problems ensuring compliance with safety and environmental rules.

Collaborates with the pharmacy team to ensure consistent operation of all pharmacy equipment and automations within CPSC.

Works closely with the engineering and pharmacy leadership at CPSC to ensure collaboration and communications are maintained between service departments and staff.

Assists with designing, integrating, implementing, monitoring, reporting, and upgrading various systems ensuring integration into the automation system.

Able to work with various computer-based systems.

• •Maintains inventory control levels of supplies needed to operate/maintain different equipment.
• •Maintains expertise with departmental policies, procedures, and practices. Assists with ensuring day-to-day operations of department take precedence and are uninterrupted.

Attends all required safety training programs and can describe his/her responsibilities related to general safety, department/service safety, specific job-related hazards, and national patient safety goals.

Provides support to departmental managers and leadership for the continual management and oversight of the facilities operations, safety, and security.

Develops and implements policies and procedures to ensure compliance with the regulatory requirements of The Kentucky State Board of Health, Kentucky Pharmacy State Board, Federal Agencies, ACHC, URAC, OSHA, Office of the Inspector General, Department of Building Housing and Construction, and other standards and regulations.

Assists with risk assessment and infection control risk assessment with appropriate disciplines.

Assists with adequate post-repair inspection.

Assists with site inspections and audits.

• •Routinely performs scheduled testing, equipment calibrations, and repairs of devices / systems.
• •Works with engineering and pharmacy leadership team to evaluate equipment needs.

Works with appropriate parties and recommend improvement strategies.

Minimum Requirement s

• •High School diploma or equivalent required.
• •5 - 7 years of related work experience.
• •Knowledge of NEC, NFPA, KBC, BOCA, ASME, ASHRAE, OSHA, & KPC.
