Job Summary:

Offers spiritual and emotional support directly to patients and their families, caregivers, and team members. Responsible for assisting with organization of daily activities as assigned.

Job Duties:

• •Functions as a member of the team by attending interdisciplinary team conference, support meetings, and other meetings as appropriate
• •Assesses each patient, family member, and caregiver for spiritual needs and concerns in consultation with other team members
• •Provides direct chaplaincy services (when accepted) to patients, family members, and caregivers of different philosophies and religious perspectives
• •Consults, if requested by patient or family, the patient’s clergy of choice and advises them on admission
• •Documents all visits and phone calls in the electronic medical record within an appropriate time frame
• •Provides consultation, counsel, and support to other team members as appropriate
• •Assists with training programs and in-service education as requested

As a Chaplain Associate, you'll provide spiritual and emotional support to patients, families, caregivers, and team members while collaborating with an interdisciplinary healthcare team. • •Hours: This is a Flex position (per diem, hours as needed). Non-benefits eligible.
• •Hours will vary based on department staffing needs
• •Evenings, overnight, weekends and holidays
• •Required Experience: High School Diploma or GED
• •1 unit of Clinical Pastoral Education Required
• •Ordination/ Commissioning or Ecclesiastical Endorsement
