We are looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented Cheque Processing Clerk to join our newly established team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys accurate, process-driven work and is looking to develop a career within financial services operations.

Full training will be provided, making this an ideal role for candidates with strong administrative, data entry, customer service, or banking experience.

Location

  • Standard work location: Milton Keynes
  • Initial training period may require attendance at a client site for up to 6 weeks
  • Accommodation and travel expenses during the training period will be fully covered

What You'll Be Doing

As a Cheque Processing Clerk, you will play a key role in ensuring the accurate processing of financial transactions and maintaining the smooth flow of funds.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Processing high volumes of cheques accurately and efficiently
  • Entering and validating financial information within internal systems
  • Reconciling processed transactions and investigating discrepancies
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation
  • Supporting daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliation activities
  • Ensuring compliance with financial regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Collaborating with colleagues and stakeholders to resolve queries
  • Contributing to the smooth running of critical financial operations

  • Previous banking, financial services, or transaction-processing experience
  • Experience working in a regulated environment
  • Reconciliation or financial administration experience

Training & Travel Requirements

This role requires flexibility during the onboarding period:

  • Ability to attend on-site training at a client location for up to 6 weeks
  • Ability to work away from home Monday to Friday during the training period
