Childcare Teacher / Assistant Teacher – Full-Time ($13–$18/hr)

PAY: $13-$18/hour

Imaginative Beginnings Early Learning Center is seeking a full-time Childcare Teacher / Assistant Teacher to join our team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young children, wants hands-on experience in childcare, and is interested in growing in the field of early childhood education.

We are hiring for Infant, Toddler, Preschool, and Pre-K classrooms. Classroom placement is based on experience, interests, and current center needs.

Typical schedule: Most positions follow a consistent daytime schedule (for example, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.) within center hours of 5:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m.

What You Will Do

As a Childcare Teacher / Assistant Teacher, you will work alongside classroom leaders to provide a safe, nurturing, engaging environment and support children throughout their daily routines and learning experiences.

Support the Lead Teacher with daily classroom activities and routines

Help prepare and facilitate developmentally appropriate learning and play activities

Supervise children during play, learning, meals, outdoor time, and transitions

Help maintain a safe, clean, organized, and nurturing classroom environment

Assist with classroom documentation and daily records

Communicate respectfully with families and team members

Follow state licensing requirements and center policies

Work collaboratively with classroom and center leadership to support consistent program quality

Qualifications

Required

At least 18 years of age

High school diploma or equivalent

Willingness to complete required trainings, including CPR, First Aid, AED, and Child Abuse Prevention

Preferred - not required

Previous experience working with children, including childcare, daycare, preschool, school, camp, or similar settings

Interest in early childhood education or child development

CDA (Child Development Associate)

Dependable, patient, caring, and team-oriented attitude

No formal childcare experience is required - we will train the right candidate who is dependable, caring, and eager to learn.

Physical Requirements

Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 20 lbs

Ability to actively supervise children throughout the day
