PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• •Grind castings per instructions
• •Change and dress grinding wheels
• •Select the proper tools for the application
• •Identify equipment malfunctions
• •Operational knowledge of air-supplied hoods
• •Identify scrap and/or defective castings and report to Supervisor/Management
• •Operate hoists and other lifting devices
• •Occasionally required to help/assist new or transferred employees
• •Must exercise proper care of tools and equipment
• •Must be able to work mandatory overtime as needed
• •Other Duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• •High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
• •Experience in an industrial environment preferred

EQUIPMENT/TOOLS:

• •Grinding wheels
• •Pneumatic or electric hand grinders
• •Pneumatic chipper
• •Hand tools
• •Lifting equipment and devices

WORK ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to lift up to 35 pounds on a regular basis and up to 70 pounds on a periodic basis.

• •Stand for extended periods up to 10 hours per day.
• •Required to wear respirator or air supplied hoods and other applicable PPE
• •Ability to move within office and manufacturing complex and write by hand and/or type.
• •Ability to communicate by speech and hearing via phone, radio, and in person.
• •Participation in any medical examinations required by law or federal regulations.
• •Visual acuity is needed for close-detail work and computer use.
• •Exposed to many elements, but none continuously present to the extent of being disagreeable.
