About The Role:

As Claims Manager, you’ll own claims for a book of our commercial accounts, reporting to the Head of Claims, Phil Wilusz. You’ll own the full arc: reporting the loss, driving the adjuster, running monthly claim reviews with the client, and knowing when to escalate.

Success depends on sound judgment and building client trust, not just claims mechanics. In your first 90 days, success looks like a clean handoff of your accounts; kickoff calls and claim standard operating procedures completed for each one; and clients reaching out to you first when something goes wrong.

What You’ll Do:

Own claims end to end for your accounts: intake, carrier reporting, adjuster follow-up, and reserve and resolution discussions

Run claims kickoff calls for new clients and monthly claim reviews for existing ones

Build the standard operating procedures, reporting workflows, and employee-facing materials that make those programs actually work

Be the person clients call when something happens, from a slip and fall to a product recall

Push carriers, third-party administrators, and defense counsel for movement instead of waiting on them

Feed claims insight back into new business: loss analysis, claim history, and renewal positioning with the growth team

Who You Are:

5+ years of experience managing commercial insurance claims, ideally in a brokerage or carrier setting

End-to-end claims management experience: intake, carrier reporting, adjuster follow-up, reserves, and resolution

Sound judgment with a clear sense of when to escalate

Strong client relationship and trust-building skills

Experience running client-facing meetings (kickoffs, claim reviews)

Ability to build SOPs, reporting workflows, and training materials from scratch

Comfortable as a primary contact during urgent or high-stress claims

Persistent in pushing carriers, TPAs, and defense counsel toward resolution

Able to turn claims data into insight for renewal positioning and new business

Strong communication and organizational skills

For candidates based in the United States, the expected pay range for this position at the start of employment is $130,000 – $160,000/year. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as market location, job-related skills, experience, and qualifications. This role may also be eligible for additional variable compensation, including quota-based incentives where applicable.
