Class 1/AZ Shunt Driver

Bison Drivers are paid every week, on time! This schedule Monday to Thursday shift runs 0700 to 1730 with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break

• •Hourly rate: $22.75
• •Hours of work might change from time to time according to operational demands
• •Reporting directly to the Shunt Coordinator
• •Essential responsibilities are trailer movement, trailer staging, trailer quick-checks, and trailer greasing, along with other general shop/yard duties
• •Responsible for operation of the forklift and assisting on the dock when needed. Training will be provided.
• •Works closely with Shunt Coordinator, Property Services, Fleet Maintenance Manager, Highway and City dispatch, maintenance and the warehouse on daily shunting activities

Candidate Profile

• •Company Driver residing in Mississauga or immediate area
• •Tractor-trailer over the road driving experience, minimum 12 months
• •Previous shunt experience is preferred
• •Valid Class 1/AZ license is required
• •Well organized and possess excellent customer service skills
• •Comfortable with smartphone technology for emailing and texting
• •Comfortable backing in all manner of tight spaces and locations
• •Reliable, flexible and punctual
