Job Description

The Advance Practice Registered Nurse- Clinical Specialty provides an advanced level of care in collaboration with specialty physicians and other members of the health care team to a specific patient population. Maintains an advanced knowledge base and skill in the assessment and treatment of disease and management of health/illness where Clinical Specialty is a preferred treatment resource for patients. May perform specific diagnostic and/or interventional procedures under the supervision of the physician.

Minimum Requirements

• •Master of Science in Nursing required
• •Licensed as a registered professional nurse in Missouri Graduation and certification for Nurse Practitioner program and/or certification in specialty as approved by the Missouri State Board of Nursing for Advanced Practice may be required.
• •2 years’ experience as family practice nurse practitioner in a Clinical Specialty clinic, or other relevant Clinical Specialty environment Certification affiliated with Clinical Specialty service line
• •Current BCLS certification and must be maintained for continued employment
• •Current ACLS and must be maintained in a current/active state for continued employment when required by the department
• •Demonstrates clinical expertise in Clinical Specialty.
• •Demonstrates leadership ability.

Preferred

• •3-5 years clinical Clinical Specialty experience preferred
• •Advanced education in the diagnosis and management of patients with diseases where Clinical Specialty is implicated
