Day-to-day direct service delivery examples:

• •Practical application of group counseling
• •Steady integration into the therapeutic process beginning with observation and becoming more interactive.
• •Practicing debriefing, one of the key clinical skills necessary to thrive in this field.
• •Processing and dispelling previously held assumptions and beliefs about people impacted by addiction.
• •Balancing the format of a pre-planned topic with meeting the needs of the patients at that time, in that moment.
• •In real-time, recognizing the differences between a psychoeducation lecture style and an interactive group therapy session.

Requirements

• •Pursing an appropriate degree at a two or four year college or university. OR
• •Bachelors or Masters Degree in an appropriate discipline
