This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced oncology nurse to take on a specialist role within a modern acute hospital environment, providing expert, patient-centred care and supporting the ongoing development of oncology services.

What will your responsibilities be?

Provide specialist nursing care to patients receiving oncology treatments, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy and radiotherapy

Undertake comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualised care plans

Coordinate investigations, treatment and patient follow-up in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team

Monitor patients throughout treatment and manage symptoms and treatment-related side effects

Provide patients and families with education, information, advice and emotional support

Act as a patient advocate, supporting informed decision-making throughout the treatment journey

Work closely with consultants, nursing teams, GPs and wider MDT colleagues

Contribute to clinical education, mentorship, audit, research and continuous quality improvement

Qualifications & Experience:

To be successful in this role you must have,

Registered General Nurse with current NMBI registration

Minimum 5 years' recent post-registration nursing experience in an acute hospital setting

Minimum 2 years' experience in oncology/specialist nursing

Level 8 post-registration qualification relevant to Oncology Nursing, or willingness to complete this within one year

Strong clinical, communication and leadership skills

Passionate about delivering high-quality, evidence-based and patient-centred care
