CNC Finishing Technician - Weekday Day Shift

Description

As a CNC Finishing Technician, you will contribute to the precision and quality of our CNC machining process by performing pre- and post-machining operations. This includes raw material preparation, detabbing, sanding, vapor honing, and inspecting finished parts to ensure they meet SendCutSend’s standards. You’ll also assist with packaging and shipping orders to customers. This hands-on role requires attention to detail, efficiency, and strong teamwork.

What you’ll do

• •Perform pre-machining operations, including cutting raw material using a saw
• •Conduct post-machining operations such as detabbing, sanding, and vapor honing CNC parts
• •Inspect parts visually and dimensionally to verify accuracy and quality
• •Maintain and clean tools, machines, and work areas to ensure a safe, organized workspace
• •Package and prepare completed parts for shipment, ensuring accuracy and protection during transit
• •Follow production schedules, work orders, and quality standards
• •Work closely with the team to identify and resolve process issues or improvements
• •Operate safely and comply with all company policies and safety procedures
• •Perform other related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• •High school diploma or equivalent
• •Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
• •Proficiency with basic hand tools and measurement instruments
• •Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
• •Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• •Willingness to learn new processes and take direction from Leads and Supervisors

Preferred Qualifications

• •Previous experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, or CNC environment
• •Experience with sanding, deburring, or surface finishing processes
• •Familiarity with precision measuring tools such as calipers or micrometers

Essential Physical Requirements

• •Ability to repeatedly lift 25 lbs and lift up to 50 lbs
• •Ability to stand and walk for 10 to 12 hour shifts
• •Ability to bend, reach, and work around large industrial equipment

Work Environment

• •Manufacturing and production floor environment
• •Work performed around CNC machines and material handling equipment
• •Exposure to noise, moving machinery, and metal materials
• •Use of required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
• •This position requires working in close proximity to equipment that generates strong electromagnetic fields (EMF). This environment may pose a risk to individuals with cardiac pacemakers, ICDs, or other implantable medical devices.
