What You'll Do

• •Set up and operate HAAS CNC mills to produce precision components from alloy steel and specialty metals
• •Review blueprints, select tooling, speeds, feeds, and machining sequences based on job requirements
• •Load programs and make routine G-code and M-code edits ; adjust tool and work offsets as needed
• •Complete first-piece and in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators
• •Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and setup issues independently
• •Perform daily start-up, clean-up, and routine preventive maintenance

What You Bring

• •3-5 years of CNC machining experience with hands-on HAAS mill setup and operation
• •Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications
• •Working knowledge of G-code and M-code (programming experience is a plus)
• •Experience machining alloy steel
• •Strong attention to detail, accountability, and commitment to safety

Requirements

Competencies and Experience Needed:

• •3 – 5 years of CNC machining experience required
• •Programming knowledge preferred
• •Giddings & Lewis CNC 800 Control experience desired
• •Fork-lift experience required.
• •Good knowledge of and experience working with steel.
• •Layout and light welding previous experience required.
• •Must be able to read and interpret blueprints & BOM’s.
• •Detail oriented, demonstrated high level of accuracy and to work safely.

Physical Requirements:

• •Position requires physical capability which includes standing most of the time, some lifting up to 25 to 50 pounds, and pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, reaching as needed.
• •Standard shift is ten hours per day, with Steel-toe boots and safety glasses required.
