Job Title: CNC Machinist - Afternoon Shift
Shift: Monday to Thursday, 3:00PM -1:30AM
Location: Mississauga

A Day in the Life:
Program and operate AXYZ Machine.
Operating a variety of laser cutting machines
Read and interpret blueprint/shop drawings for machine setup.
Set-up and adjust machines to ensure parts are produced according to all quality requirements.
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot when issues arise.
Ensure productivity and on-time completion of work orders.
Support new product development; create bill of materials, routings and fixtures for newly released products.
Participate in the design of efficient manufacturing processes for new product development.
Develop CNC Programs (manually and automatically); utilize software programs to ensure efficient and cost-effective machining of parts.
Assist team in other productions requirements as needed.
What We Are Seeking:
3-5 years' experience programming and operating AXYZ machine.
Experience with laser machines
Previous experience programming and operating a variety of CNC machines (press, shears, saws) considered an asset.
Ability to read a Tape Measure to 1/16th " or 1 mm.
Ability to confidently read and interpret shop drawings/blueprints.
Ability to focus on agreed-upon priorities, pay attention to detail that ensures high levels of quality.
Mechanically inclined, with knowledge & experience of equipment, tool selection, optimum settings, understanding of how things work and why.
Ability to troubleshoot and attend to issues as they arise.
Shows interest and willingly strive to learn new skills and take on new assignments as the workload dictates.
