CNC Mill Machinist

Description

Mach3 Machine is seeking an experienced CNC Mill Machinist with hands-on HAAS experience to set up and operate CNC milling equipment on our 1st shift. This position is responsible for producing precision parts to blueprint specifications, selecting efficient machining methods, completing accurate setups, and verifying that finished parts meet required dimensions and tolerances.

Key Responsibilities:

· Set up and operate HAAS CNC mills to produce precision parts and components.

· Review blueprints, engineering drawings, work instructions, and bills of materials before machining.

· Select tools, fixtures, speeds, feeds, offsets, and machining sequences based on job requirements.

· Load programs, make routine G-code and M-code edits, and adjust tool or work offsets as needed.

· Complete first-piece and in-process inspections using dial calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and other measuring tools.

· Confirm parts meet blueprint dimensions, tolerances, and quality requirements before release to the next operation.

· Identify and label raw materials, work-in-process, and completed parts.

· Load and unload raw materials and finished workpieces safely.

· Perform daily start-up, clean-up, and routine preventive maintenance on assigned equipment.

· Troubleshoot basic machining, tooling, and setup issues and communicate concerns promptly.

· Operate other equipment as needed to support production demands while following all safety procedures.

Requirements

· 3-5 years of CNC machining experience.

· Hands-on experience setting up and operating HAAS CNC mills.

· Ability to independently complete machine setups and run parts to job specifications.

· Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, bills of materials, and technical specifications.

· Working knowledge of G-code and M-code; programming experience is a plus.

· Proficiency with precision measuring tools, including calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators.

· Experience machining alloy steel.

Physical Requirements:

• •Ability to stand for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
• •Physical activities include pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, and reaching as necessary.
• •Steel-toe boots and safety glasses are required.
