The EDI practice serves leading law firms, Fortune 500 companies, financial institutions, and government agencies. Within EDI, the Economic Consulting team applies economic theory, statistical methods, data analysis, and industry research to address complex commercial litigation, intellectual property disputes, and other high-stakes legal and business matters.

Position Overview

As an Economic Consultant, you will join a team of economists and analytical professionals who provide data-driven insights in complex legal and business disputes. You will support expert teams by conducting economic research, analyzing large and complex datasets, evaluating market activity, quantifying damages, forecasting outcomes, and preparing rigorous analyses for clients, expert reports, and testimony.

This role offers the opportunity to develop advanced technical, analytical, and consulting skills while working alongside recognized experts on matters that shape important legal and business outcomes. This is a hybrid position based in either our New York City or Washington, DC office.

Qualifications

• •Master's degree in Economics, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Econometrics, or another quantitative discipline.
• •Three or more years of experience in economic consulting, with a focus on commercial damages, intellectual property, or related litigation matters.
• •Strong understanding of economic, financial, and quantitative analysis concepts and methodologies.
• •Experience working with large and complex datasets using Excel and statistical software such as Stata, R, SAS, Python, or similar analytical tools.
• •Demonstrated ability to analyze data, solve complex problems, and communicate findings clearly and effectively.
• •Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• •Ability to manage multiple priorities while contributing effectively within a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
• •Proven commitment to professional excellence and a desire to develop subject matter expertise within economic consulting.
• •Interest in supporting business development initiatives and building long-term client relationships.

Salary Range: $140,000-$185,000
