Community Liaison for Outreach and HIV Prevention

Northland Cares is seeking an outgoing, compassionate, and motivated individual to join our team as an HIV Prevention & Outreach Specialist. We are willing to train the right person.

This is not a typical office job. Approximately half of your time will be spent in the community connecting with people, attending events, working from our mobile clinic, building partnerships, and helping individuals access life-changing healthcare services.

If you enjoy networking, public speaking, community engagement, health education, and helping people overcome barriers to care, this may be the perfect opportunity for you.

Has strong communication and customer service skills

Can work independently and as part of a team

Is organized and dependable

Is passionate about helping others

Can navigate sensitive conversations with compassion and professionalism

Has a valid Arizona driver's license and enjoys working in the community rather than behind a desk all day

What You'll Do

Engage with community members throughout Yavapai County

Represent Northland Cares at community events, health fairs, and outreach activities

Build relationships with partner agencies, healthcare providers, and community leaders

Provide education on HIV prevention and sexual health

Connect individuals with medical care, support services, and community resources

Assist with mobile clinic operations and community-based testing services

Help improve health outcomes for individuals and communities throughout Northern Arizona.

No HIV Experience? That's Okay.

We are willing to train the right candidate. Experience in community outreach, social services, customer service, education, public health, healthcare, nonprofit work, marketing, event coordination, or relationship-building roles is highly valued.

Compensation & Benefits

Starting at $20.00 per hour, Candidates with directly related experience, specialized skills, or advanced qualifications may be eligible for a higher starting rate.
