Position Start Date: August 2, 2027

Required Degree: PhD in a humanistic field with evidence of interdisciplinary training or scholarly/teaching interests.

The required degree must be completed by the start date.

• Experience:
• Candidates must demonstrate interdisciplinary training or scholarly/teaching interests in one or more of the following areas: Literature, Visual Culture/Art History, Film and Media, Cultural History, Comparative Literature, and Popular Culture. Evidence of an active research and publishing profile is expected.

Duties/Expectations:

Teach General Education and program courses in Interdisciplinary Humanities.

• •As a professorial position, this ten-month annual contract expects the following:
• •Teaching load of 6 courses with a typical teaching assignment of 2 or 3 courses fall semester, 2 or 3 courses winter semester, and 1 course spring or summer term.
• •Maintain an active research and publishing profile
• •Mentor undergraduate and graduate research.
• •Participate in faculty meetings and other academic discussions.

• •Support the mission of Brigham Young University .
• •Support student faith through obvious commitment to the religious expectations of the sponsoring institution, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
