What you’ll be doing:

Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week, Monday-Friday, core business hours.

Location: This position is posted as remote; however, per company policy, candidates residing within a 35‑mile radius of ZIP code 80230 will be required to follow a hybrid schedule (3 days/week onsite), even if they applied to the remote posting.

The Compliance Specialist provides foundational support to the organization's compliance program, risk-management activities, and policy and procedure administration. This role also serves as a key point of contact for patient rights, grievances and advocacy needs. The position helps ensure regulatory alignment, promotes safety and ethical care and strengthens the organization’s culture of compliance.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

Supports the risk management team with administrative duties, and may assist with preliminary investigations, fact gathering and follow-up tasks

Maintains risk management documentation and risk mitigation files

Serves as the accessible point of contact for patients and families seeking to file a formal complaint or grievance

Documents grievances, coordinates responses, and ensures timely resolution in accordance with regulatory timelines

Assists with policy lifecycle management, including formatting, proofreading version control, and distribution

Maintains the organization’s policy library, tracks review cycles, update schedules and required approvals

Must haves:

Bachelor’s degree in behavioral health, healthcare administration or related field or applicable experience (required)

2-3+ years of behavioral health experience (required)

1+ years of project management experience (required)

Bonus qualities:

1+ years of experience in patient advocacy in the behavioral health setting (preferred)

1+ years of experience in healthcare compliance and or risk management (preferred)

1+ year of experience in Microsoft applications (preferred)

Experience working with multidisciplinary teams (preferred)

The compensation range for this position is based upon candidate experience and market expectations.

Colorado pay range

$31.30 — $39.13 USD
