Summary

About the Position: Incumbent will serve as a Construction Control Representative. Hiring Organization: US ARMY IMCOM JOINT BASE LEWIS-MCCHORD DIRECTORATE OF PUBLIC WORKS

Duties

  • Monitor construction at all stages to identify problems.
  • Approve quality level of construction at the initial control phase of each definable feature of work.
  • Interpret contract requirements during the preparatory and initial phases.
  • Keep close contact with user personnel on operating facilities being refurbished to minimize interference with operations.
  • Administer the construction warranty program for each completed contract.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-08 level in the Federal service which includes: 1) Observe construction at all stages to identify problems; 2) Review construction project plans before advertisement to evaluate feasibility; and 3 ) Review contractor documentation to calculate periodic payments. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-08). Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-08).
