  • Overview:
  • We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant ENT Specialist (Otolaryngologist) to join our medical team in Bermuda. The successful candidate will provide exceptional care to patients requiring evaluation and treatment for ear, nose, and throat (ENT) conditions, head and neck disorders, and ENT trauma. This role is ideal for a dynamic and compassionate individual who meets the requirements of the Bermuda Medical Council (BMC).

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • 1. Clinical Care:
  • o Diagnose, treat, and manage a broad range of ENT-related conditions, including ENT trauma, in paediatric and adult patients.
  • o Perform outpatient consultations, inpatient care, and surgical interventions as necessary.
  • o Provide emergency ENT, otolaryngology, and trauma care when required.
  • 2. Surgical Expertise:
  • o Conduct advanced surgical procedures related to otolaryngology and ENT trauma, including endoscopic sinus surgeries, tonsillectomies, and laryngoscopies.
  • 3. Collaborative Practice:
  • o Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • o Act as a consultant to other medical practitioners within the hospital and primary care settings.
  • 4. Education and Leadership:
  • o Mentor junior medical staff and contribute to continuing professional development programs.
  • o Participate in clinical case discussions and medical audits to maintain high standards of care.
  • 5. Compliance and Administration:
  • o Maintain compliance with Bermuda Medical Council (BMC) licensing and regulations.
  • o Accurately document patient information and maintain confidential medical records.

  • Requirements:
  • Education and Qualifications:
  • Medical degree (MBBS, MD, or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
  • Fellowship in Otolaryngology (e.g., FRCS, FACS, or equivalent).
  • Licensing and Certifications:
  • Valid ENT Specialist/Otolaryngologist registration/license from a recognized medical board.
  • Eligible for registration with the Bermuda Medical Council (BMC).
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 5–7 years of post-fellowship experience as a Consultant ENT Specialist (Otolaryngologist), including managing ENT trauma cases.
  • Proven expertise in performing a variety of ENT and otolaryngology surgical procedures.
  • Skills and Competencies:
  • Strong clinical acumen and excellent diagnostic skills in ENT and trauma care.
  • Ability to provide patient-centered care with empathy and professionalism.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and colleagues.
  • Commitment to maintaining high ethical standards and confidentiality.
