We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist in Adult Mental Health to join our NHS client in Pontyclun, Glamorgan. This is a rewarding opportunity to work within a supportive and progressive mental health service, offering both inpatient and community-based care.
- Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical leadership and direct psychiatric care to adults with complex mental health needs
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and develop individualised treatment plans
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across inpatient and community settings
- Participate in service development, teaching, and supervision of junior medical staff
- Ensure compliance with the Mental Health Act and uphold high standards of clinical governance
- Qualifications & Experience
- Full GMC registration with a licence to practise
- Inclusion on the Specialist Register for General Adult Psychiatry (or within 6 months of CCT)
- Extensive experience in adult mental health, ideally across both inpatient and community settings
- Strong leadership, communication, and team-working skills
