Duties

• •Performs a full range of simple cooking of items that require little to no processing and prepping foods by peeling, chopping, cutting, grinding, pureeing, dredging and etc.
• •Operates and cleans a variety of different standard kitchen equipment that use multiple types of heat sources such as gas, electricity, steam and/or microwave.
• •Maintains a clean workspace and follows established sanitation procedures when handling food.
• •Ensures foods are properly cooked and stored at the correct temperatures to prevent the growth of bacteria.
• •Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

A qualified candidate must possess the following: Work experience in preparing foods and cooking simple foods and short orders in a cafeteria, restaurant, or mess.2.
