Your role and responsibilities

As Country Communication Manager for Türkiye, you are responsible for leading Tier 1 and financial media as well as crisis communications and issues management. You are responsible for protecting the ABB brand and for ensuring a balanced profile of ABB and its businesses in Türkiye. You will own the country based digital platforms and be responsible for cascading ABB-wide internal communications in the country. You will collaborate with other communicators in Türkiye in line with the ABB Way. This role reports to Country Holding Officer and Head of Communications for Electrification.

The work model for the role is: {hybrid}

You will be mainly accountable for:

• •Leads media relations with Tier 1 and financial publications on behalf of ABB in Türkiye working with division, business area and group communicators,
• •Serve on the country crisis task force. Responsible for internal communications duties, including mandatory employee communications and fiduciary requirements locally.
• •Manage cascading of limited ABB Corporate content in alignment with corporate and common functions,

• •Safeguard brand identity and ensure regulatory compliance in all communications, both internally and externally. Ensure balanced profile of all Business areas and Divisions in the country,
• •Manage and apply rigorous control to the country communications budget, ensure transparency and maximize effectiveness and efficiency,
• •Hands-on leadership skills with a pragmatic business-focused approach to the delivery of service and projects alike, being decisive and action-oriented, within areas of responsibility.
• •Proven ability to lead and motivate local as well as remote and globally dispersed teams: achieving organizational focus on key priorities, providing clear direction, delegating, actively communicating and coaching/mentoring; ability to lead and influence also from a distance in a matrix organization is key.
• •The ability to set clear goals and accountable in driving results.
• •Comfortable with ambiguity and uncertainty; the ability to adapt nimbly and lead others through complex situations.

Qualifications for the role

• •Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields,
• •10 years’ experience in Communication or Public Relations in a highly matrixed organization,
• •Fluency in English (written and spoken) and strong writing/editing skills,
• •In-depth demonstrable knowledge and experience of all aspects of internal and external communications,
• •Extensive network within the press/media and ability to lead crisis communications autonomously.
