The Department of Mechanical Engineering is inviting applications for a course lecturer position to teach in Winter 2027. Please include your cover letter and Curriculum Vitae.

MECH 315 – Intermediate Dynamics (4 credits)

Instructor must cover all material as written in the Course Outline on the McGill Course Catalogue page, as follows:

Single-degree-of-freedom systems; free vibrations; effect of damping; response to harmonic, periodic and arbitrary excitation. Lagrange's equations of motion. Vibrations of multi-degree-of-freedom systems. Continuous systems.

Teaching Qualification Requirements:

• •Minimum of Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering.
• •Minimum of three years’ experience teaching or in industry.
• •Demonstrated knowledge of spoken and written English.
• •Understanding cross-cultural practices.
• •Strong problem-solving skills and flexible approach to teaching.

Salary:

$15,765 per course
