About the Role
We’re looking for a social-first Creative Director who knows how to find culture where it is happening, turn that into a powerful creative idea and build it into a fully realized campaign world.
This person will report to and work closely with the VP, Creative, helping shape the creative vision across multiple campaigns and projects while also getting directly into the work. This is not a role for someone who only leads from the sidelines. We’re looking for a true player-coach —someone who can set the vision, lead the team and then jump in to write, concept, design, script, edit and help make the work better.
You should have a deep understanding of what social-first actually means. Not simply taking a traditional campaign and adapting it into social assets, but starting with behaviors, communities, creators, conversations, trends and cultural tension points to uncover the idea itself.
From there, you know how to blow that idea out into something much bigger.
- A social post can become a cultural moment.
- A creator behavior can become a campaign platform.
- A conversation can become a film, an experience, a billboard, a partnership, a stunt or an entirely new brand world.
You understand that the best campaigns today can move fluidly across every cultural touchpoint—and that the channel should serve the idea, not the other way around.
You should be equal parts storyteller, brand builder, cultural thinker and creative craftsperson. Someone who can define the big idea, build the narrative around it and then actively help bring that story to life across social, creators, film, digital, experiential, out-of-home, partnerships, earned media and emerging platforms.
This is a role for someone who knows how to build campaigns and projects from the ground up—and who is comfortable getting their hands dirty doing it.
You can take an open brief, find the cultural opportunity and create a clear creative point of view around it. You can write the manifesto. Build the campaign narrative. Write the script. Crack the headline. Sit with an art director and push the visual system. Work with an editor to reshape a film. Jump into a social execution. Help build the deck. Pressure-test a creator idea. Explore an AI-generated visual direction. Whatever the work needs, you are willing and able to get in there and make it stronger.
You should have a strong understanding of both copy and art. You know when a line needs another pass, when a script needs a stronger turn, when a visual system needs more personality, when an edit isn't landing and when an execution simply needs to be pushed further. You can guide writers, art directors, designers, editors and makers while also actively creating alongside them.
You should also be obsessed with storytelling across platforms. You understand that every touchpoint has a different role to play and that the story should evolve as audiences move through the campaign rather than simply repeat itself everywhere.
You live and breathe social culture. You understand internet behavior, platform language, creators, aesthetics, fandoms, trends and the speed at which culture moves. You know what feels native, what feels forced and how to create work that belongs in the conversation rather than simply interrupts it.
You should also be fluent in AI and emerging creative technology. We’re looking for someone who understands how AI generation, rapid prototyping, world-building and new creative tools can expand the ambition of the work, accelerate exploration and unlock executions that previously wouldn’t have been possible. More importantly, you should be comfortable actually using these tools as part of the creative process—not just directing others to use them.
Above all, we want a proactive, hands-on creative leader with exceptional taste and hyper attention to detail. Someone who can see the massive campaign ecosystem and the tiny thing that's keeping one frame, line, edit or post from being great.
Working in close partnership with the VP, Creative , you’ll help set the creative bar, push teams toward stronger thinking, pressure-test ideas and maintain consistency across multiple workstreams. But you’ll also be expected to actively contribute to the work itself—concepting, writing, shaping design, crafting scripts, developing presentations, working with editors and helping bring ideas across the finish line.
Responsibilities:
Finding cultural insights, behaviors and creative opportunities within social
Turning social-native ideas into large-scale integrated and 360 campaigns
Defining campaign platforms, brand narratives and creative territories
Concepting and writing alongside the creative team
Writing scripts, headlines, manifestos, social copy, creator concepts and presentation narratives
Building stories that can live across multiple cultural touchpoints
Working directly with art directors and designers to shape visual identities, design systems and campaign worlds
Working directly with editors, directors and motion teams to shape video, film and social storytelling
Developing social activations, creator ideas, films, digital out-of-home, experiential and partnerships
Creating platform-native work designed for participation, conversation and sharing
Understanding creators and influencers as part of the creative idea—not simply distribution
Building visual and verbal systems that can scale across a campaign
Jumping into the work wherever needed to elevate the idea, craft or execution
Using AI and emerging creative tools for concepting, prototyping and visual exploration
Reviewing and actively shaping scripts, layouts, edits, motion, design systems and final assets
Building and refining creative decks and presentation narratives
Presenting and selling ambitious creative thinking to senior clients
Leading writers, art directors, designers, strategists, producers and external partners
Partnering closely with the VP, Creative to shape and uphold the overall creative vision
Managing multiple fast-moving projects without losing craft, momentum or creative consistency
About You
The essentials:
The ideal candidate has 12+ years of experience developing and launching major brand campaigns, culturally relevant creative projects and integrated work that moves seamlessly between social and the broader world.
A standout portfolio is essential. We want to see social-first thinking, big brand ideas, memorable storytelling, distinctive visual worlds and fully realized 360 campaigns —not traditional advertising that simply happened to include social deliverables.
We also want to see evidence that you are a maker. Work where your fingerprints are visible. Scripts you helped write. Campaigns you helped concept. Visual systems you helped shape. Films you helped craft. Social ideas you personally pushed from a rough thought into something great.
The work should demonstrate an ability to find the cultural spark, build a strong creative idea around it and expand that idea into something people can see, experience, participate in and talk about.
Above all, we're looking for someone who understands that social isn't a channel at the end of the process. It's often where culture is discovered, where the idea starts and where the opportunity to build something much bigger begins.
