Position Overview

The Credit Resolution Representative will research billing and payment posting issues initiated by patients, insurance carriers or others and notifies customers of findings in accordance with department policies and procedures. The incumbent corrects payment postings; adjusts accounts; processes refunds and contractual adjustments; balances reports and documents findings.

Remote (Requires Washington State Residency )

Minimum Qualifications:

Education :

• •High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• •Two years post high school education preferred.

Experience :

Two (2) years of work experience in cash posting, credits or insurance billing in a healthcare environment is required, with five (5) years’ experience preferred.

Special Training/Skills :

• •Knowledge of insurance claims processing and third-party reimbursement procedures preferred.
• •Knowledge of Federal, State and third-party payer billing requirements preferred
• •Skill in good oral and written communication
• •Skill in interpersonal communication
• •Ability to demonstrate initiative and willingly accept responsibility while contributing to team environment.
• •Ability to deal effectively with difficult people and/or difficult situations, which may include families of deceased individuals
• •Ability to set priorities and use good judgment
