Your contribution to Prysmian's Success:

We are looking for a Customer Quality Engineer Telecom to join our Slatina Telecom Plant.

Reporting directly to the Quality Manager , you will act as the primary quality interface between the plant and its customers. You will manage customer quality requirements, coordinate claim investigations and drive sustainable corrective and preventive actions.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Act as the main quality contact for assigned customers and maintain strong relationships with customer quality, engineering and procurement teams.
  • Coordinate customer visits, audits, technical reviews and quality meetings.
  • Lead investigations of customer complaints and quality claims using methods such as 8D, 5 Why, Ishikawa and FMEA.
  • Define, implement and monitor corrective and preventive actions, ensuring timely closure.
  • Coordinate containment and issue-resolution activities with Production, Engineering, Laboratory, Logistics and Supply Chain.
  • Monitor quality KPIs, customer complaints, Cost of Poor Quality, nonconformities, scrap and rework trends.
  • Prepare quality reports and present performance reviews to plant management and customers.
  • Support product and process qualification activities, PFMEA, Control Plan and risk-assessment reviews.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing customer complaints and improving process capability.

  • Ensuring timely and effective resolution of complex quality issues.
  • Turning quality data into sustainable corrective actions and measurable improvements.

  • Timely closure of customer claims and agreed corrective actions.
  • Reduction of recurring complaints, nonconformities, scrap and rework.
  • Improved customer satisfaction and overall quality performance.

What are the most exciting aspects of this role?

  • Acting as the key quality partner for international customers.
  • Leading cross-functional investigations with a direct impact on customer satisfaction.
  • Driving visible and sustainable improvements within a dynamic manufacturing environment.

You are the right fit if you have/are:

  • Fluent in English and Romanian .
  • A degree in Engineering, Quality, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • At least 3–5 years of Quality Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Practical experience in customer quality management, complaint handling and cross-functional investigations.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 principles and quality methodologies such as 8D, FMEA, MSA, SPC, Control Plans and CAPA.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and data-analysis skills.
  • Experience with SAP, Qlik Sense, Power BI or equivalent reporting tools is considered an advantage.
  • Experience in telecommunications, fiber optics, cable manufacturing, electronics or a similar industry is considered an advantage.
  • Customer-oriented, proactive and able to manage multiple priorities independently.
  • Strong communication, presentation and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Strong teamwork skills, critical thinking and a results-oriented mindset.
