Cybersecurity Engineer The Opportunity:

Design, implement, integrate, and maintain systems and tools to automate complex cyber activities. Apply advanced consulting skills and extensive technical expertise, including full industry knowledge. Develop innovative solutions to complex problems. Work without considerable direction, and mentor and supervise team members.

You Have:

• •Experience with CMMC, NIST 800-171, FedRAMP, DoD security controls, or cybersecurity compliance frameworks
• •Experience developing automation for cybersecurity, compliance, cloud governance, or infrastructure operations
• •Experience integrating REST APIs, Git repositories, Jira, ServiceNow, cloud APIs, or enterprise systems
• •Knowledge of SSPs, control inheritance, POA&Ms, evidence collection, system boundaries, and shared responsibility models
• •Ability to translate complex security and compliance requirements into repeatable workflows and technical requirements
• •Ability to design automation that produces traceable outputs, source citations, audit logs, and human review checkpoints
• •Ability to work with read-only access to code, SSPs, account metadata, configuration data, and security tooling
• •Public Trust
• •Bachelor’s degree

Nice If You Have:

• •Experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK, policy-as-code, OPA, or comparable technologies
• •Experience designing AI-assisted workflows, retrieval augmented generation, agent workflows, MCP integrations, or enterprise knowledge systems
• •Experience building platform selection, workload rationalization, or decision support tools
• •Experience with ServiceNow CMDB, Jira, Confluence, GitHub Enterprise, or similar systems
• •Experience working across commercial, GovCloud, CUI, or IL5 environments
• •Knowledge of secure software development, secrets management, identity, data classification, and least-privilege access
• •Ability to evaluate AI-generated outputs for accuracy, provenance, uncertainty, and unsupported claims
• •Ability to establish measurable baselines for cycle time, evidence quality, adoption, and automation effectiveness
• •CISSP, CCSP, Security+, CySA+, AWS Security Specialty, or equivalent Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,900.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
