You will work alongside experienced data engineers, architects, and analysts on real-world projects across multiple industries, including financial services and assurance organizations. The team combines modern cloud technologies, data platforms, and AI-driven solutions to solve complex business challenges.

About your manager

David is a Senior Manager who leads the Data Engineering team within Data Management in Technology Consulting. Combining the roles of Cloud Data Platform Architect and Delivery Manager, he helps clients build, modernize, and migrate modern data platforms, deliver data migrations in core system replacements, and transform data into tangible business value. David has delivered complex Data & AI projects across Europe and Canada. Outside of work, he is passionate about fishing for zander and staying active through sports.

Job description & summary

As a Data Engineer Intern, you will join a supportive team of data engineers, architects, and analysts. You will work on real projects for a variety of clients, including large banks and assurance organizations abroad, as well as companies based in the Czech Republic.

You do not need to know everything from day one. We will support you in developing your technical skills and help you understand how data solutions are designed, built, tested, and used in practice. You will:

• •Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of data pipelines using variety of tools (e.g. Databricks, Snowflake, MS Fabric) and cloud-native technologies (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• •Help with automation of data processes such as extracting, transforming, validating and loading data from various sources.
• •Learn from experienced data engineers and data architects.
• •Opportunity for career growth to senior engineer to architecture role.

What matters to us

• •Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
• •Strong interest in software development and data engineering, with an analytical and problem-solving mindset.
• •Basic knowledge of Python, Git, databases, and object-oriented programming concepts, combined with a strong willingness to learn.

What will help you stand out

• •Experience from school, personal, or commercial projects involving programming, databases, APIs, or data pipelines.
• •Basic knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• •Interest in AI, LLMs, AI agents, prompt engineering, or RAG solutions.
• •Familiarity with Databricks, PySpark, Snowflake, Kafka, Airflow, BigQuery, or similar technologies.
• •Understanding of data modelling and data warehousing concepts.
• •Enthusiasm for learning new technologies and working in a collaborative environment.
