Overview of Department

Purpose of Role

The Data Management Operations Analyst delivers a reliable, high-quality market data management service, ensuring data is accurate, timely, well-governed, and fit for purpose. The role supports internal stakeholders by managing data requests end-to-end, contributing to data-related change initiatives when allocated, applying governance controls, producing operational reporting, and promoting good data practices across the firm. The Analyst is expected to build knowledge across multiple data domains over time, supported by training, coaching, and on-the-job experience.

Responsibilities

BAU Service Delivery

• •Deliver accurate, timely, and complete data across supported data domains, including pricing, static data, instruments, companies, index data, income, and reference data
• •Manage data requests and mailbox queries through to resolution
• •Perform data quality checks, reconciliations, and validations in line with procedures and controls

Governance & Control

• •Apply data governance and risk policies as defined by internal frameworks
• •Maintain audit evidence and operational records
• •Identify and escalate data quality issues, risks, or control breaches

Project & Change Support

• •Contribute to project and change initiatives when allocated
• •Support analysis, requirements clarification, testing, and UAT
• •Assist with documentation and knowledge transfer as changes transition into BAU

Reporting & Awareness

• •Produce operational reporting and management information
• •Promote good data practices through day-to-day interactions

Decision Authority

• •Executes tasks within documented procedures
• •Escalates issues outside agreed tolerances

• •Delivering a reliable, high-quality market data service that is accurate, timely, complete and aligned to the needs of internal stakeholders and the wider business.
• •Building trusted relationships across the firm, working collaboratively with stakeholders and colleagues to understand requirements, resolve issues and support effective use of data.
• •Applying governance, controls and operational processes consistently to maintain data quality, manage risk and ensure issues are identified and escalated appropriately.
• •Driving continuous improvement by identifying better ways of working, contributing to change initiatives and developing knowledge across market data domains to strengthen the capability and effectiveness of the wider team.

Your knowledge and experience:

• •Experience using market data management systems, for example Opus EDM (Preferred).
• •Knowledge of Power Apps and Power BI (Preferred).

Our ideal candidate will efficiently manage day-to-day operations related to data delivery and management, working to strict deadlines, as well as collaborating with internal stakeholders to meet their requirements. This position is also integral to advancing our Strategic Data Foundations (SDF) programme. This role offers the opportunity to engage with strategic initiatives and develop expertise in data management and governance, aligning with the firm's data strategy initiatives.
