Responsibilities

Administer and support DB2 databases on Mainframe (z/OS).

Monitor database performance and perform tuning activities.

Manage database objects, backups, recovery, and maintenance tasks.

Support application teams with SQL optimization and database changes.

Execute DB2 utilities such as REORG, RUNSTATS, LOAD, and RECOVER.

Troubleshoot database issues and resolve production incidents.

Ensure database security, availability, and data integrity.

Support application deployments, migrations, and release activities.

Perform capacity planning and storage management.

Prepare documentation, SOPs, and provide L2/L3 production support.
