DC Maintenance Technician (IB Sortation and GTP)

Position Purpose: Oversees, maintains, and repairs equipment as well as other facility structures in a complex, warehouse environment.

• Key Responsibilities:
• •50% Troubleshoots and repairs electric lift equipment, conveyor systems, as well as technical, mechanical hydraulic and pheumatic issues where needed. Understands and troubleshoots conveyor operating system logic
• •20% Performs preventative maintenance as well as necessary modifications on electric lift equipment, conveyor systems and buildings.
• •10% Provides equipment status report, including details of unusual maintenance problems.
• •10% Follows all safety guidelines established by manufacturer, Home Depot, or government agencies. Adheres to all safety codes and OSHA standards
• •10% Maintains safe and clean working environment, performing daily cleanup of work areas

• Direct Manager/Direct Reports:
• •This position reports to Area Supervisor.
• •This position has 0 direct reports.

• Travel Requirements:
• •Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

• Physical Requirements:
• •Must continuously stand or walk or regularly requires lifting/handling/carrying material or equipment of moderate weight (8-20 pounds).

• Working Conditions:
• •Typically in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors such as temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noise, and fumes which cause noticeable discomfort or a moderate risk of accident or illness.

• Minimum Qualifications:
• •Must be eighteen years of age or older.
• •Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

• •Experience working on conveyor systems
• •Must be able to work a flexible schedule which may include weekends, evenings, and holidays

• Minimum Education:
• •The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a trade school degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
