Driver/Delivery Person

I. FUNCTIONS & REQUIREMENTS

Purpose

The purpose of this job is to pick-up and/or deliver merchandise as required and serve as a company representative, promoting the reputation of United Central Industrial Supply Company in a positive manner.

Primary Functions

• •Operate company vehicles safely.
• •Load and unload merchandise on vehicles.
• •Obtain signatures and/or payments upon delivery of merchandise.
• •Follow assigned scheduling of deliveries; make deliveries on time as scheduled.
• •Follow proper procedures in reporting accidents in accordance with company policies.
• •Maintain vehicles appearance, reporting any needed maintenance; observe traffic laws and regulations.
• •Maintain neat personal appearance; always remain courteous and service minded in dealing with customers.
• •Keep supervisor informed of shortages, overages or damaged merchandise and unresolved customer complaints.
