JOB DESCRIPTION

Role Overview:

We are looking for a creative, trend-aware, and commercially driven Designer / Sr. Designer specializing in modern home textiles. You will conceptualize, design, and drive the end-to-end development of modern soft home furnishing lines such as cushions, throws, bedding, table linen, and curtains, tailored for US retail buyers and global trade fairs.

Key Responsibilities:

• •Trend Forecasting and Concept Creation:
• Research global interior and textile trends, focusing on modern aesthetics, clean geometries, abstract prints, sophisticated textures, and contemporary color palettes.

• •Design & Development:
• Create original repeat patterns, placement prints, surface textures, and CAD storyboards using industry-standard design tools.

• •Product Line Planning:
• Develop seasonal collections and design boards targeted at major overseas buyers and trade exhibitions.

• •Sampling & Production Coordination:
• Work closely with in-house sampling, merchandising, and production teams to ensure design feasibility, accurate color matching, and proper fabric execution.

• •Buyer Presentation:
• Prepare and present design portfolios, mood boards, and product samples during client visits or virtual/showroom showcases.

• •Team Mentorship:
• Guide junior designers, manage project timelines, and oversee the execution of sample development.

Requirements & Skills:

Experience: 5–12 years of hands-on experience working in a home furnishing export house environment.

Design Sensibility: Strong portfolio demonstrating a modern, clean, and contemporary design language rather than traditional/heavy ethnic styles.

Technical Proficiency: Expert-level command of CAD, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and other relevant textile/print design software.

Material Knowledge: Sound understanding of soft home fabrics, weaves, printing techniques including digital, screen, rotary, and block printing, as well as embellishments.

Communication: Excellent interpersonal and buyer-facing communication skills for international client coordination.
