Are you a food service professional who enjoys leading a team and creating a positive dining experience for others? We are looking for a Dietary Manager to oversee the daily operations of our Dietary Department and help ensure our residents receive nutritious, high-quality meals in a safe, clean, and welcoming environment.

In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to lead a dedicated team, coordinate meal service, work closely with clinical staff, and make a meaningful impact on the daily experience of our residents.

What You'll Do

As the Dietary Manager, you will oversee all aspects of food service operations, including:

• •Lead, supervise, and support Dietary Department employees in their daily responsibilities.
• •Interview, hire, train, schedule, and evaluate dietary team members.
• •Plan and direct departmental work while promoting teamwork and accountability.
• •Coordinate food ordering, preparation, delivery, and cleanup.
• •Ensure food storage, preparation, and service meet established standards and regulations.
• •Monitor sanitation, food safety, equipment safety, and employee safety practices.
• •Review resident diet information and address dietary requests, changes, and inconsistencies.
• •Participate in resident Care Plan development and collaborate with nursing and other professional staff.
• •Partner with the Dietary Consultant to ensure menus and department practices meet nutritional standards and regulatory requirements.
• •Inspect food, preparation areas, and storage areas to ensure quality and compliance.
• •Monitor food for proper taste, smell, appearance, and adherence to recipes.
• •Address resident concerns and resolve food service issues in a timely and professional manner.
• •Attend meetings with employees, administration, and regulatory personnel as needed.
• •Maintain accurate records, calculate operating costs, and prepare reports for management.
• •Promote a culture of collaboration, teamwork, and excellent customer service.
• •Perform other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

Required:

• •High school diploma or equivalent.
• •5–7 years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• •Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• •Excellent customer service skills.
• •Ability to multitask and effectively manage competing priorities.
• •Ability to meet applicable local health regulations.

Preferred:

• •Previous supervisory or management experience in food service.
• •Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• •Experience working in a healthcare, nursing home, or senior living environment.
