YOUR ROLE

As part of the huge growth in demand in our Energy Transition & Utilities practice, we are seeking an experienced Director to join our highly talented team, with responsibility for originating, shaping and delivering major advisory, consulting and transformation services across our sector.

Our clients within Energy Transition & Utilities include those within the sub-sectors of Energy Networks, Energy Retail, Energy Central Markets, Water and Nuclear.

This role is designed to further expand and strengthen our position in Asset & Capital Performance. As a Director within our practice, you will help set direction, grow the business, own senior client and C-suite relationships, and orchestrate Capgemini capabilities across strategy, engineering, digital, data and delivery. You will combine deep Asset & Capital expertise with strong consulting and commercial skills, originating opportunities and leading major transformations across the asset and capital investment lifecycle, including helping clients harness AI, data and digital technologies to transform how capital projects are delivered safely to: time, plan, cost quality whilst maximising the operational performance of the asset.

In this role, you will:

Be a key member of the leadership team, shaping the strategy, market position and growth priorities of our Asset & Capital capability and wider sector team at Capgemini

• •Shape and lead complex transformations and major capital programmes, including defining the vision and scope, setting strategic direction, owning relationships with senior executives and ensuring robust governance, programme controls, client outcomes, quality and commercial performance
• •Build and lead high-performing multidisciplinary consulting teams and senior practitioners across large transformation programmes, creating cohesion across Capgemini and client teams and aligning with client delivery governance
• •Own and actively manage delivery, commercial and reputational risk at engagement, programme and portfolio level
• •Partner with senior client stakeholders and eco system partners to shape asset management and capital investment strategies, portfolio priorities and business/investment cases, and ensure these are translated into executable programmes of work
• •Act as a trusted adviser to senior executives, defining future business and operating models that connect strategy, investment, engineering, delivery, operations and asset performance through an integrated view of people, process, technology, asset information and data
• •Coach and mentor senior practitioners and future leaders, providing clear direction while empowering teams to deliver high-quality outcomes and supporting individual development
• •Play a key role in recruitment and capability development, bringing new talent into Capgemini and strengthening our Asset & Capital community

Additionally, you will be expected to contribute to the growth, market position and capability of the business through activities in the following categories:

Business Development

Originate, shape and convert opportunities by using Capgemini relationships and your own senior network; lead proposals, bids and client conversations, develop account pipeline and collaborate across the business to bring the best capabilities to clients

Internal Contribution

Lead campaign and proposition development, points of view, whitepapers and market-facing activity, while contributing to practice operations, recruitment and the development of our Asset & Capital offerings and intellectual property

Learning & Development

Training to support your career development and the skills demand within the company, certifications etc.
