About the role

The Director, AWS Infrastructure and DevOps is responsible for the strategy, architecture, security, and operational execution of our technology infrastructure and DevOps capabilities. This role will own and execute the day-to-day management of AWS cloud infrastructure. Additionally, it will oversee continuous improvement of CI/CD pipelines, release and deployment processes, SaaS administration and provisioning, security and compliance, and infrastructure cost optimization.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on technology professional who can establish scalable operational practices while partnering closely with Engineering, Security, and IT teams to ensure the reliable, secure, and efficient delivery of technology services.

Here's what you'll be doing:

· Lead the strategy, architecture, implementation, administration, and day-to-day operation of our AWS infrastructure and cloud services.

· Design, build, and maintain secure, scalable, reliable, and cost-effective cloud infrastructure and environments.

· Implement and maintain infrastructure-as-code, configuration management, logging, alerting, backup, and disaster recovery capabilities.

· Define and implement cloud architecture standards across networking, compute, storage, databases, identity, and access management.

· Facilitate infrastructure modernization, automation, and optimization programs to improve reliability, scalability, security, and operational efficiency.

· Design, build, and improve CI/CD pipelines supporting application development, testing, security scanning, and production deployment.

· Define and implement DevOps standards, tooling, processes, and engineering practices across development teams.

· Own and execute release and deployment processes across development, staging, and production environments, including deployment automation, release coordination, validation, and rollback procedures.

· Own the administration, governance, and lifecycle management of our SaaS technology ecosystem.

· Implement and manage SaaS tool provisioning, user onboarding/offboarding, role and permission management, access reviews, and license management.

· Manage cloud infrastructure cost management and optimization, including monitoring, forecasting, resource utilization, and identification and execution of cost-saving opportunities.

· Partner with Security and Compliance teams to define and implement infrastructure and DevOps security controls and practices.

· Implement and maintain appropriate controls for identity and access management, secrets management, encryption, vulnerability management, logging, and infrastructure security.

· Support security audits, compliance assessments, customer security reviews, and regulatory requirements, including implementation and maintenance of required controls and evidence.

· Monitor infrastructure and application environments, troubleshoot production and deployment issues, and lead root-cause analysis and remediation efforts.

· Evaluate infrastructure, DevOps tooling, and operational practices and identify opportunities to improve reliability, security, developer experience, and efficiency.

About you

Qualifications:

· 8+ years of hands-on experience in infrastructure, cloud engineering, DevOps, or related technology disciplines, with demonstrated ownership of production environments.

· Hands-on experience designing, implementing, and operating AWS cloud infrastructure and services.

· Scripting and automation experience using Python or TypeScript

· Experience with infrastructure-as-code and automation tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.

· Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

· Experience designing and managing modern CI/CD pipelines and Git-based development workflows.

· Experience with release and deployment management, including deployment automation, production releases, rollback procedures, and troubleshooting.

· Experience with cloud security, IAM, networking, encryption, secrets management, vulnerability management, and audit controls.

· Experience with SaaS administration, user provisioning, access management, and lifecycle management.

· Experience with cloud infrastructure cost management and optimization.

· And the ability to design, implement, operate, and troubleshoot production systems.

· Support off business hours deployments and releases if needed

· AWS certification such as AWS Solutions Architect or AWS DevOps Engineer is preferred.

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position. This range may differ based on your experience and skill set, geographic location, and cost of living considerations. Compensation

$135,000 — $150,000 USD
