  • The Voyager Business Development Team is responsible for identifying, shaping, capturing, and expanding strategic opportunities for Voyager – Anduril’s modular, rugged suite of compute, networking, and communications built for survivable C5ISR at the tactical edge. As a TRL-9, globally fielded portfolio spanning roughly 75 products, Voyager serves as the hardware backbone of our “Own the Edge” strategy, providing the foundational compute and connectivity for critical defense operations. BD team members serve as the strategic interface between warfighter needs and Anduril’s innovative engineering, translating market dynamics and customer requirements into long-term growth initiatives. We partner extensively with engineering, product, and program management teams to ensure Voyager remains at the forefront of tactical edge technology, driving continuous product evolution in response to evolving mission demands.

  • We are seeking a Director, Business Development - Voyager to lead the strategic market growth and capture efforts for our Voyager portfolio within the US Navy. This role is pivotal in shaping the future of tactical edge compute and connectivity across the Navy, moving beyond traditional sales to forge deep strategic partnerships and influence the future of C5ISR architectures. This is a leadership position for someone who thrives in a fast-moving, high-ambiguity environment and is passionate about strategically positioning critical hardware in the hands of warfighters at scale.

What You’ll Do

Develop and Execute Strategic Market Plans: Build and lead a comprehensive, data-driven strategy to penetrate, expand, and deliver Anduril’s Voyager capabilities across Navy and key agencies. This includes setting strategic growth targets for Voyager's market penetration and adoption.

Lead Strategic Capture Efforts: Design, implement, and execute strategic capture campaigns for programs of record and emerging opportunities. This involves shaping requirements, developing win strategies, identifying key teaming partners, and quarterbacking proposals with BD, product, and program teams to secure significant defense contracts.

Drive Ecosystem Integration: Strategically identify and capitalize on opportunities to integrate Voyager into Anduril’s flagship wins (e.g., NGC2, TITAN, USMC C2 modernization, SBMC) and expand its footprint within command-post, vehicle, and dismounted-operator use cases.

Cultivate Senior Relationships: Build and maintain trusted, senior-level relationships across program offices, PEOs, prime contractors, and strategic integration partners (e.g., Palantir, Microsoft, HPE, L3Harris, Viasat) to influence requirements, identify emerging opportunities, and drive long-term strategic partnerships.

Shape Requirements and Solutions: Articulate and position Voyager’s integrated mission system capabilities – including HPC/VM/VMm compute, G1/TRX/ESR networking and comms, chassis/integration solutions, and Lattice software attach – as critical enablers for next-generation C5ISR, translating complex technical capabilities into strategic warfighter outcomes.

Navigate Defense Acquisition: Leverage deep expertise in defense acquisition processes, including OTAs, IDIQs, sole-source and competitive vehicles, and the FYDP/POM cycle, to strategically position Voyager for long-term growth and program inclusion.

Inform Product Strategy: Serve as the voice of the customer and the market, bringing critical insights on customer requirements, competitive dynamics.

Represent Anduril: Act as a primary ambassador for Voyager at senior service events, strategic demos, and exercises, translating complex technical capabilities into compelling strategic value propositions for senior leaders and operators.

Required Qualifications

Minimum of 10 years of relevant business development, capture management, or defense acquisition leadership experience, with a proven track record of driving significant business growth and market penetration for complex defense technologies.

Deep familiarity with at least one US service’s acquisition ecosystem, and the demonstrated ability to strategically operate across several.

Command of complex technical products – comfortable going deep on rugged compute, tactical networking, SWaP tradeoffs, and C5ISR concepts, and translating them for both operators and senior acquisition stakeholders.

Demonstrated capture leadership: expertise in win strategy, teaming, price-to-win analysis, and proposal orchestration on competitive pursuits, leading cross-functional teams.

Strong existing senior-level strategic relationships across program offices, PEOs, primes, and/or systems integrators within the US Navy.

Willingness to travel heavily (50%+) to customer sites, exercises, and strategic events.

Active US Top Secret SCI security clearance (or ability to obtain and maintain).

Preferred Qualifications

The ideal candidate is a proven leader who has demonstrated experience in shaping and capturing complex Command and Control hardware and software programs, with preference given to candidates with recent experience in DoD acquisition.

Demonstrated knowledge in defense acquisitions, with a history of zero-to-one defense program growth in a key account.

Intimate understanding of government contracting, fielding, requirements generation, and budgeting for the purposes of transitioning prototype capabilities to production.

A technically minded leader who can build, adapt, and implement new and innovative approaches to market, strategically positioning products for future relevance.

Experience leading strategic business development for solutions in command post, mounted/vehicle, or dismounted-soldier programs.

Background driving strategic adoption and revenue for both hardware and attached software solutions within an open-ecosystem partner model (integrating third-party HW/SW).

Familiarity with international/coalition defense sales and partnership development.

Excellent writing, communication skills with experience briefing senior executives and customers.

US Salary Range

$191,000 — $253,000 USD

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
