The FP&A team is a strategic partner to executive leadership, providing the financial analysis, forecasting, and decision support that drive business performance. We're seeking a Director, Financial Planning & Analysis to lead our valuation and finance analytics function.
This role will own the company's fair value framework, loan-level forecasting, servicing asset analytics, and other complex financial models supporting reporting and strategic decision-making. The Director will also serve as the primary finance partner for several corporate functions. From helping leadership understand budget performance, to identifying risks and opportunities, to strengthening financial discipline across the organization.
The ideal candidate pairs strong technical accounting and valuation expertise with exceptional financial modeling skills and the ability to translate complex concepts for senior executives.
Responsibilities
Fair Value & Financial Modeling
Own monthly and quarterly fair value analyses for the company's loan portfolio and servicing assets
Develop, maintain, and enhance DCF models supporting fair value measurements
Partner with Accounting, Capital Markets, and external auditors during monthly close
Evaluate and recommend updates to valuation assumptions, including credit losses, prepayment rates, recovery rates, funding costs, servicing costs, and discount rates
Support audit requests and valuation documentation
Core FP&A Responsibilities
Build analytical tools to evaluate current and future financing strategies and stages
Partner with stakeholders and financial systems to improve forecast accuracy and scale forecasting/reporting workflows
Develop financial models and insightful presentations to support strategic initiatives and executive decision-making
Analyze profitability across products, channels, and customer segments
Enhance reporting capabilities using Power BI, SQL, Excel, and other financial systems
Requirements
8–12+ years in FP&A, valuation, investment banking, consulting, Big Four, or financial institutions
Strong understanding of GAAP and financial statements
Advanced Excel modeling skills
Proven track record building discounted cash flow models
Skilled in fair value measurements or other valuation methodologies
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Comfortable working cross-functionally with Accounting and executive leadership
Nice to have:
Background in specialty finance, fintech, banking, or consumer lending
Familiarity with ASC 820 Fair Value measurements
Knowledge of servicing assets or mortgage/loan servicing
Proficiency with SQL, Power BI, or other BI tools
NetSuite experience
Compensation
In addition to salary, Total Rewards include a stock option package, and benefits as outlined below. The role described above offers a base salary of $170,000 to $230,000. Your offer will be based on location, the alignment of your qualifications with the requirements of the job and internal equity.
