• Jackson Healthcare Resource Team (JHRT) is seeking a Director, Risk & Insurance to manage the corporate insurance program on behalf of Jackson Healthcare’s operating companies. This role owns the broker and carrier relationships that drive placements and renewals across all lines of
• coverage, and serves as the primary insurance resource for the operating companies JHRT supports. The program includes a Georgia-based captive insurance company, and this role coordinates with the captive manager and broker on operational matters.
• This is a relationship- and execution-focused role reporting to the Chief Risk Officer, with a couple of associates providing day-to-day support. The Director keeps placements on track, maintains strong broker and carrier relationships, and serves as the point of contact operating companies rely on for coverage questions, renewals, and certificate requests.

What You Will Own:

Broker & Carrier Relationships

This role serves as the primary point of contact for Jackson Healthcare’s corporate insurance broker and key carrier partners, maintaining strong working relationships throughout the year, not only at renewal.

• •Own the day-to-day relationship with Jackson Healthcare’s corporate insurance broker and key carrier partners across all lines of coverage.
• •Serve as the primary point of contact for brokers, carriers, and underwriters on coverage questions, program structure, and market positioning.
• •Build the kind of working relationships with broker teams and underwriters that show up as better service and stronger renewal terms.

Insurance Placements & Renewals

This role manages the corporate renewal process from start to finish, across property, casualty, professional liability, and the other commercial lines in the program.

• •Lead corporate-wide insurance renewals and placements across all lines, managing the renewal calendar, exposure data, and submission timelines.
• •Review quotes, policy language, and endorsements for accuracy before anything gets bound.
• •Administer TCOR budgeting and premium and cost allocation across the operating companies.
• •Lead the medical malpractice and workers’ compensation audit processes, including data validation and coordination with brokers and accounting.
• •Coordinate with the captive manager, captive counsel, and broker on operational and administrative matters related to the captive program, escalating strategic decisions to the Chief Risk Officer.

Operating Company & Stakeholder Support

JHRT supports 22 operating companies, and this role serves as their primary point of contact for insurance questions.

• •Serve as the go-to insurance resource for JHRT’s operating companies, fielding coverage questions, endorsement requests, and placement needs as they come up.
• •Manage the certificate of insurance program, making sure requests get handled accurately and on time.
• •Build relationships with operating company leadership and finance teams to identify changing exposures early, not at renewal.

Team Oversight

This role directs the day-to-day work of one or two associates who support placements, certificate requests, and program administration.

• •Provide day-to-day direction to one or two risk and insurance associates handling placement support, COI requests, and data entry.
• •Review associates’ work for accuracy, especially during renewal season crunch times.

Data & RMIS

This role maintains the data foundation for the program without owning the broader analytics function.

• •Maintain data integrity and handle day-to-day administration of the Origami RMIS platform, working with the vendor on user access and functionality.
• •Prepare renewal summaries, exposure reports, and other analysis leadership needs to make decisions.
• •Partner with internal data and IT teams on reporting questions as they come up.

Leadership Communication

This role keeps the Chief Risk Officer and senior leadership informed on program status, even as its primary focus remains execution.

• •Keep the CRO and senior leadership updated on renewal progress, market conditions, and program changes.
• •Put together clear renewal summaries and coverage recommendations for leadership to review.
• •Be the responsive point of contact when a coverage question needs an answer quickly.

What You Bring:

Qualifications

• •Experience managing corporate insurance placements and broker relationships across multiple lines of coverage.
• •A solid understanding of commercial insurance markets, coverage forms, and the renewal process, gained on the brokerage side, the corporate risk side, or both.
• •A track record of working effectively with brokers, carriers, and underwriters to negotiate and place coverage.
• •Familiarity with a Risk Management Information System. Experience with Origami Risk is a real plus.
• •Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Insurance, Finance, Business, or a related field. o At least 5 years of progressive insurance or risk management experience.
• •CPCU or a similar professional designation is strongly preferred.
• •Experience providing day-to-day direction to associates or junior staff.

Preferred Qualifications

• •Healthcare industry background, or experience with medical malpractice and workers’ compensation programs.
• •Experience working inside a decentralized, multi-entity organization. o Hands-on experience with certificate of insurance program management.

• •You bring strong relationship and organizational skills, and you are comfortable directing the day-to-day work of one or two associates without needing to run a large department.
