At Townsquare Media Group, we’re looking for a Director of Digital & Radio Content to lead our MARKET market—overseeing strong local brands and driving audience growth across on-air, digital, social, and live platforms .

This is a full-time, in-office leadership role working closely and collaboratively with a talented local team. You’ll set the vision for local content, coach and develop market-leading talent, and play a hands-on role in creating compelling, clickable, and shareable content that resonates with the local community—while partnering closely with sales and leadership to drive revenue and impact.

What You’ll Do:

As Director of Digital & Radio Content for Fort Collins, you’ll provide leadership, strategy, and creative direction for our local brands—ensuring excellence across on-air, online, and on-site experiences. This role blends high-level strategy with hands-on leadership and content creation. You will:

Establish and execute a clear, competitive vision for local content while maintaining ownership of the overall sound, content strategy, and brand execution across all stations to drive audience growth, market leadership, and business results.

Lead from the front as an active influencer, content creator, and brand ambassador, setting the standard for audience engagement while coaching team members to build meaningful connections across on-air, digital, social, and live platforms.

Recruit, develop, coach, and retain high-performing on-air, digital, and production talent, fostering a positive, collaborative, high-performance culture that drives market-leading results across all brands.

Partner closely with sales leadership and cross-functional teams to develop compelling, revenue-generating content, sponsorships, promotions, features, and events, creating innovative marketing solutions for clients while ensuring alignment across programming, sales, production, and market leadership.

Develop innovative, multi-platform content strategies that build highly engaged audience communities, drive ratings and digital growth, cultivate strong relationships throughout the market, and create revenue-generating partnerships across all channels.

Host a live, engaging on-air show on a regular, ongoing basis, preparing daily content that entertains, informs, and connects with the target audience

Create and publish a minimum of two original local articles per day for the station website and mobile app

Create and oversee compelling local content and digital storytelling across websites, mobile platforms, and social channels

Design and execute programming clocks, music strategy, and tactical plans to grow time spent listening, audience occasions, and digital reach

Oversee sound design, station imaging, and audio architecture—keeping content fresh, creative, and impactful

Creating and publishing original video content regularly, including social-first short-form video (Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts) and longer-form segments that grow your personal on-screen brand

Prospecting and developing endorsement and influencer partnerships with local businesses, pitching yourself as a trusted community voice who can authentically promote products and services across on-air, video, and social platforms

Participating in person in high-visibility community events, client meetings, and business functions as a station ambassador who builds relationships that translate into revenue

What You’ll Bring:

Demonstrated success as a content leader with strong people management skills

3+ years of management experience

Strategic mindset with a strong understanding of industry trends and audience behavior

On-air programming experience with deep knowledge of content creation and curation

Strong writing, communication, and storytelling skills across platforms

Familiarity with a wide range of digital assets, tools, and publishing workflows

Proven ability to lead in competitive markets and drive measurable results

Strong business acumen and the ability to connect content strategy to revenue outcomes

Sound judgment, creativity, and a strong desire to win

High School Diploma (required)

Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and vehicle (required)

Colorado Base Pay Range:

$50,000 — $60,000 USD

Colorado Total Compensation Range:

$50,000 — $60,000 USD
