Led by Larry McGuire, Tom Moorman, and Liz Lambert, MML is known for its refined, character-driven approach to hospitality across an expanding portfolio of iconic hotels, restaurants, and lifestyle concepts.
About the Role The Corporate HR Director serves as a strategic leader for the MML Hospitality corporate group, acting as a key partner to executive leadership and property-level HR teams. This role oversees centralized HR functions, including high-level employee relations, multi-state compliance, HRIS strategy, and the development of culture-building initiatives that reflect MML’s "people-first" philosophy.
What You’ll Do
Strategic Leadership & Compliance:
- Partner with the SVP of HR and executive leadership on organizational structure, headcount planning, and operational HR strategy for the corporate group and broader portfolio.
- Maintain deep knowledge of federal and Texas employment laws, ensuring all policies and handbooks meet current best practices.
- Provide guidance on state-specific requirements (e.g., New York, Colorado) for various MML properties to ensure portfolio-wide compliance.
Operations & Systems:
- Lead the management and optimization of HRIS systems (Paylocity preferred), ensuring data integrity and efficient reporting.
- Oversee compensation strategy and benefits administration in coordination with the corporate finance and HR teams.
- Develop and implement standardized onboarding, performance management, and offboarding workflows across the corporate entity.
Team & Culture:
- Serve as a primary contact for corporate employee relations, providing guidance with discretion, empathy, and professionalism.
- Design and implement training and development programs to foster growth and engagement within the corporate team.
- Drive initiatives that reinforce MML's unique brand story and hospitality-driven culture within the corporate office.
What We Are Looking For
- Experience: 7 to 10+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years at the Manager or Director level.
- Industry Background: Experience in multi-unit hospitality, luxury hotels, or a fast-paced creative environment is highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with HRIS systems is required (Paylocity preferred).
- Language Skills: Fluency in Spanish (written and spoken) is a strong plus.
- Education/Legal: Solid working knowledge of federal and Texas employment law; PHR or SPHR certification is a plus.
What MML Hospitality Offers
- Competitive Base Salary and Performance Bonus Potential
- Comprehensive Benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability, Life, and Pet Insurance)
- Paid Time Off and Parental Leave
- MML Property Discounts (Hotel, Restaurant, Retail)
- Beverage Education Reimbursement
- Relocation Assistance (if applicable)
