Position Overview

The Director of Learning Content and AI Integration leads the new content team and is accountable for timely, high-quality content across Stukent's three-phase content design process. This role manages instructional designers, establishes priorities and standards, coordinates handoffs, and owns Phase 3 release readiness. The ideal candidate is an organized, collaborative people leader with strong editorial judgment and practical knowledge of instructional design, AI-assisted content development, and quality assurance.

Operating States: This is a remote position; however, candidates must reside in one of Stukent’s approved operating states to be considered for employment. Our hiring states for this position are Idaho, Utah, Kentucky, Tennessee, Indiana, Missouri, Ohio, Texas, Florida, Georgia, and North Carolina.

Duties & Responsibilities

• •Lead the end-to-end three-phase courseware process, setting ownership, stage gates, schedules, handoffs, quality criteria, and release requirements.
• •Own finishing and release readiness, including QA, consistency checks, content mapping, asset and ADA documentation, and compliance with instructional, editorial, copyright, and accessibility standards.
• •Lead and develop the content team by setting priorities, providing instructional design and AI direction, and overseeing hiring, training, coaching, feedback, and performance.
• •Design, govern, and continuously improve responsible AI-assisted workflows and agents, including prompting, review standards, documentation, versioning, safeguards, monitoring, maintenance, and evaluation.
• •Lead adoption of AI-enabled, instructionally rigorous workflows through stakeholder alignment, pilots, training, adoption metrics, feedback, and reinforcement.
• •Coordinate cross-functional execution, resolve blockers, communicate risks and progress, manage capacity, and reduce avoidable rework.

Requirements

Qualifications

• •Master's degree preferred in instructional design, education, or a related field.
• •Seven or more years of experience in project management, instructional design, educational publishing, or a related field.
• •Demonstrated success leading and developing team members through clear expectations, coaching, feedback, and performance evaluation.
• •Proven ability to manage multiple courseware projects, phased workflows, competing priorities, and delivery deadlines.
• •Working knowledge of instructional alignment, AI-assisted content workflows, and editorial quality assurance is required. Additional knowledge of copyright compliance and accessibility documentation is ideal but not required.
• •Advanced expertise in creating, testing, governing, and maintaining generative AI agents is required.
